Horses are our Teachers! Horses don’t care how much you know, but they know how much you care! We use the Natural Horsemanship philosophy, based on the principles of Tom & Bill Dorrance, Ray Hunt, Buck Brannaman and Pat Parelli. Relationship and partnership are very important on the trails. We need to trust our horses and our horses need to trust their rider.
Before we start our trail ride we introduce you to your horse in the Ranch Arena, where we will share / explain how to communicate with your horse, the basics and safety for an enjoyable trail ride. We have trails suitable for both beginner or intermediate riders. Let us know prior to your arrival, and we’ll make sure we set you up for a great horseback riding experience!
Trail riding Kamloops BC: Our trail rides will take you to beautiful Lakes here in the interior of British Columbia, Forest Trails, Natural Meadows, Hill Tops and View Points! For Kids under 8 yrs, we offer pony rides in our arena!
All our horses are barefoot, and roam on our 160 acre Campbell Hills property in a herd and are surefooted trail riding horses. Together with Bald Eagles, Hawks, Canadian Goose, Owls, Moose, Bears, Coyotes, Deer and Cougars, the horses live in harmony, the way Joe Camp describes it in his ‘the soul of a horse’ book! A must read for the horse lover!
