Come to a Montana Dude Ranch and LIVE YOUR DREAMS!! Have you always wanted to horseback ride in country that combines the best of mountains, valleys and open spaces? Ever imagined the freedom and exhilaration of a running horse beneath you? See the 200 mile views? Do you want to chase cows and see what the cowboy life is all about? Challenge your horsemanship with cattle work? Experienced riders love the miles we ride and the quality of the horses. We use Parelli Natural Horsemanship and share our knowledge and experience with all guests who are interested in learning about it.
Have you always wished you could learn to ride? You have had this dream a long time, follow it through!! You can do it and it is probably easier than you think. We will teach you how to be comfortable around your horse on the ground with simple games and then how to use these games when you are riding. You will understand how horses think and why they behave certain ways. Develop comfort and confidence. You will experience how communication is the sharing of ideas between yourself and your four-legged partner. Most people grow to love the feel of the horse, slow and fast. You can learn as much in a week as in a year of weekly lessons.
Children get to spend the day with the horses! Accompanied by experienced guides, your children will have the vacation that they will cherish and remember. The amount of riding, whether they are led, ride in the arena, ride out on short or long rides are all individually determined. Skill levels with children are too individual to set rules. The children learn to be the horses friend and leader. Children play games, play in the creek and swim, explore and enjoy what living on a ranch is really like.
Horses are fantastic creatures with so much to offer all of us. Spending a day with your horses is more that just being outdoors. You are building a relationship with your horse. You are a team. You get a thrill when your horse comes up and meets you at the gate asking to come in and be ridden. You will learn your horses favorite places to be scratched and loved. This adds another dimension to your vacation.
Your hosts and guides are life long students of the horse. We continue to learn and developed our personal horsemanship through personal experience and Parelli Natural Horsemanship. We are confident that we will give you the horse vacation of a lifetime that you will want to have again and again.
The Parelli method allows horse lovers at all levels and disciplines to achieve: success without force, partnership without dominance, teamwork without fear, willingness without intimidation, and harmony without coercion. It’s more than just about the horse, reflects Linda Parelli. It really dips into the personal development side of things. You learn about yourself, you learn about communication, about leadership, about truthfulness, about consequence and responsibility. You learn about love and imagination. The horse becomes the animal that tells you the truth about yourself in all these categories.
